‘Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) make good progress. This is because their needs are identified accurately and they receive appropriate levels of support.’ (Ofsted)
‘Highly effective support and precise targets ensure that pupils with SEND make good progress. Consequently, the vast majority of pupils with SEND can access the subject specific knowledge and skills associated with their age-related expectations.’ (Ofsted)
Dear parents, carers, children and other interested parties,
As Clavering Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo), it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 'Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND)' section of the Clavering website.
SEND can be a very controversial and emotive area, but I would like to emphasise the following two points to anyone who visits this part of our website:
- All staff members of Clavering Primary School believe that every child has an entitlement to personal, social and intellectual development and must be given the opportunity to achieve his/her potential in learning.
- Likewise, all staff members of Clavering Primary School believe that every child should have access to high quality and appropriate education.
